Elden Ring Golden Seeds are the vital resources allowing you to stay in the fight.
These glowing sprouts are found at the base of small golden saplings across the world and in the Nightreign expansion. Their role is to increase the number of times you can use your healing flasks.
Early-Game Golden Seeds
Grabbing these early is an important part of surviving the first few bosses:
- Stormhill (Limgrave): Found right next to the road on the way to Stormveil Castle. It’s a top choice for your very first upgrade.
- Gatefront Ruins (Limgrave): Look for the small golden tree just past the large gate.
- Fort Haight (Mistwood): Located right outside the fort entrance.
- Castle Morne (Weeping Peninsula): Found on a high platform overlooking the ocean as you enter the castle area.
Mid-Game and Late-Game Seeds
As you move into tougher areas, these are mandatory for your survival:
- Academy Gate Town (Liurnia): Found in the sunken town ruins near the main academy entrance.
- Caria Manor (Liurnia): Located in the upper gardens, guarded by a few smaller enemies.
- Outer Wall Phantom Tree (Altus Plateau): This is a huge help because this one tree gives you two Golden Seeds at once.
- Leyndell, Royal Capital: Found near the Lower Capital Church and another near the West Capital Rampart.
2026 Nightreign: Limveld Spectral Saplings
The 2026 Nightreign update adds Spectral Saplings in the Limveld region. These trees only appear during specific times.
- Limveld Locations: During a Shifting Earth event, look for trees near the Forsaken Hollows. These are the main sources of seeds for players exploring the expansion.
- The Scholar's Eye: If you are playing the Scholar class, your "Arcane Sight" will make these trees glow through the fog. This is the best way to find them during a Nightreign Storm.
- Randomized Castle: Inside the Nightreign Castle, seeds can sometimes be found in the randomized Castle Sewers. Finding one here is a necessity for completing the boss rush.
